A review is an opinion from someone you can’t identify, about work you can’t verify. Anyone can leave one. The honest ones and the invented ones look exactly the same on the page.
A reference is different. It comes from a named account, about work that actually happened, and the person who gave it can take it back whenever they want. That’s what people have always done before hiring someone — asked a person they trust. AuraClout is that, written down.
What we won’t do
Scores can’t be bought. No amount of money changes a score, moves a profile up a list, or removes an endorsement someone else wrote.
Ratings stay private. The number a client gives feeds the AuraScore and is not ordinarily displayed or attributed, subject to legally required disclosures. Nobody sees who rated whom.
No score until it means something. An AuraScore appears after 5 confirmed endorsements. Before that there is no number — and no suggestion that’s a problem. A quiet profile means little is known, not that something is wrong.
Words belong to whoever wrote them. An endorser can withdraw theirs at any time, without giving a reason and without anyone being told.
We don’t verify credentials. Licence and insurance details are entered by the pro, and we say so everywhere they appear. Always check before you hire.
We don’t see money. Nothing is paid through AuraClout. We know work happened because a person said so, not because we processed a transaction.
Where we are
We’re still building, so joining is by invitation for now. It’s being built slowly and on purpose, because a record of who does good work is only worth anything if it’s trustworthy from the very first entry.
Who’s behind it
Austin Gannon, from Illinois. Profile #1 on the platform is his, and it’s deliberately close to empty — every endorsement here, starting with his, gets earned the same way.
